My first Champion, CH Dog Gone's Shock and Awe at Poplarhill (Maddie) is a lovely girl I received from Rachel Garde at Dog Gone Bulldogs in Illinois. She was a challenge as she injured her eye right as she started showing. However finished her Championship in 2013. Since then Maddie has produced so far four Champions: CH Poplarhill Dog Gone's Cowgirl in the Sand (BB); GCH CH Dog Gone Poplarhill Tupelo Honey (Honey); GCH CH Dog Gone's Poplarhill Man Behind the Mask (Phantom); and recently CH Dog Gone's Poplarhill Fiona. We still have two more girls we are working on, however Maddie is now Hall of Fame Eligible. I can't thank Rachel enough for allowing me to have a great foundation bitch for Poplarhill. To date I have 6 Bred By Champions and am looking forward to getting and finishing my other hopefuls in the show ring soon! I am an AKC Breeder of Merit, Treasurer of Kentuckiana Bulldog Club, member of both Kentuckiana and Music City Bulldog Club and the Bulldog Club of America.
My husband passed away on January 2017. We have four sons and 3 soon to be 4 grandchildren. Half of my children are in Kentucky, one in Boston and one in Ohio.
I have a home in both Clarksville, TN and in beautiful south central Kentucky near Lake Cumberland. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I retired in 2004 from The Adanta Group after 22 years, my last 13 years as the Director of Child & Family Services. Following my retirement I was a part-time Independent Contractor doing consultative/coaching work for the Kentucky Department of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities and Addictions-Kentucky Youth First initiative. I returned to full time employment in 2009 and began working for the Department of Defense at FT Campbell. I am a Behavioral Health Provider in the Emergency Center at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital.
